Surrey Hills Zone Substation Transformer Replacement

We are preparing to replace one of our substation transformers in Surrey Hills that is nearing the end of its lifespan. This upgrade will allow us to maintain a safe and reliable electricity network.

We expect this upgraded asset will supply power to residents and businesses in the area for the next 30-50 years.

Preparation works, including excavation and concrete pouring, have started on site and nearby residents and businesses may notice some increased noise and dust in the area.

For the safety of our workforce and the community, and to avoid traffic disruptions during the day, the new substation transformer will be delivered to site after hours. We will notify nearby residents and businesses with further details closer to the delivery date.

Throughout the works, you may notice some extra vehicle traffic in the area, including our employees and contractors parking on Alexandra Crescent and surrounding streets.
