2011 Transmission Connection Planning Report
The Essential Services Commission of Victoria requires Victorian electricity distribution businesses (including United Energy Distribution) to publish annually a joint 'Transmission Connection Planning Report'. The report details how the distribution businesses plan to meet the load requirement at transmission connection points over the following ten calendar years. The report also identifies opportunites for proponents of non-network solutions. The full report is attached below:

2011 Distribution System Planning Report
The Essential Services Commission of Victoria, requires United Energy Distribution to publish an annual Distribution System Planning Report. The report details United Energy Distribution's:
- planning philosophy;
- historical loads and equipment capacities;
- predicted network loads for the following five years;
- network constraints that either require or will require action to overcome;
- plans to augment the network to meet the predicted demand for electricity supplied through it's distribution network;
- list of opportunities for proponents of non-network solutions (eg. embedded generation or demand management) that could defer network augmentation; and
- plans to improve reliability of supply to its customers.
The report covers the major electricity supply assets, namely United Energy Distribution's subtransmission network and zone substations. United Energy Distribution's other assets such as the distribution feeders, the distribution substations and the LV network also require planning and augmentation works to supply the forecast demand however these plans are generally performed over shorter timeframes because they depend heavily upon customer demand in localised regions.
